Rocco started out as a professional announcer on radio stations from Arizona to New Jersey. He produced country, rock, classical and late night shows, spending as much as four hours a day ‘live’ on the air. He wrote the copy, did the news, read the commercials and did just about everything else required in a radio station. Then he took a 37 year break to work in public education as both a teacher and high school principal. Now he has capped both his illustrious careers by being one of the first three show producers for WCOM. Since he started here in 2004 he has never missed a Saturday morning for which his many fans are deeply grateful.
Saturday Morning Music Hall with Rocco features the best in popular American standards, jazz, some country, some rock and the best instrumentals around ever. It’s open – if Rocco hears something he likes he’s going to play it - and make it work!
Along with music from a personal collection that spans over seven decades, Rocco relies on his extensive knowledge of the artists and their work to provide a very special listening experience. Tune in and see for yourself.
