Like any public radio station, WCOM is teaming up with the business community to make our programming possible. Since we are first and foremost a local, community-oriented station, we'd like our business sponsors to be local and community-oriented as well. That’s why we have high hopes that you will become a Founding Sponsor of WCOM.

Here’s how it works. We are looking for local businesses willing to provide funding right up front to get WCOM off to a strong start. And we’re hoping these same businesses will offer ongoing support through an additional monthly contribution.

Specifically, we’re asking business owners to contribute $2,000 now and to help sustain the station with an additional $85 monthly donation. We can make this easy for you by automatically charging your corporate credit card each month.

In exchange, we'll deepen your ties with the community by publicizing your generosity on the air and on our website.

WCOM is already broadcasting a partial program schedule, with the full rollout of locally hosted and nationally syndicated shows slated to be on the air soon. Your support today means you will be one of the first local businesses with underwriting announcements on WCOM! Studies have shown that seventy percent of public radio listeners do business with underwriters, and we're confident that WCOM listeners will be above average in that respect.
